- The Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center, Charleston (SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston) intends to award an $18,907,681.00 modification to Contract N65236-05-D-5157 with M.C. Dean, Inc. The modification will be negotiated on a sole source basis. M.C. Dean is the only known source in the position to provide continuous and uninterrupted satellite service for the current VoIP network in the United States European Command (EUCOM) and United States Central Command (CENTCOM) AORs without a long lead time and additional costs to the Government. This contract modification is necessary to ensure continuous satellite services prior to the award of a new competitive contract. The value of the new contract is presently estimated between $200M and $250M. RFP N65236-06-R-0807 for the new contract will be available on the SPAWAR e-Commerce website on or about 27 February 2007. This is not a request for proposals.
