- Procurement of replacement equipment for an existing communication system. The current system aboard all LHD class ships is the AN/URC-109(v), manufactured by Selex Communications (formally GEC Marconi Communications). The entire system is made up of Receivers, Exciters, Combiners, Amplifiers, etc. The replacement equipment for the receivers and exciters and the procurement of Digital receivers and exciters, as required by SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston, Code 536, are being procured on a sole source basis from Selex Communications. The equipment needed must fit into the existing cabinets which are size specific to the AN/URC- 109(v) system. The radios must have the correct Inputs/Outputs (I/O???s) to properly communicate and forward data to all other components of the overall system. The radios must fit into a proprietary Selex rack. Form, fit and function compatibility requirements of existing systems and equipment must be met. An Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated and will include a base period and three one-year options.
