- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located as http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. while it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea System Command. The Naval Surface Warfare center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to procure a Light Detection and Ranging Sensor that produces 3D point clouds, 2-4 Hz frame rate supporting real time operator in loop display and control. The North American industry Classification System code is 333315, with a employee standard size of 500. This requirement is being processed in accordance with FAR 13.5-Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The contract will be issued as a firm fixed price contract. The del ivery date shall be FOB destination on or before 30 November 2007 to 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448. The anticipated issuance of the solicitation is 8 February 2007. The anticipated award date is 2 April 2007. The synopsis number is N00178-07-R-1015. All interested parties shall contact the contract specialist, XDS118 at (540) 653-4654 or dlgr_nswc_XDS11@navy.mil and indicate their interest and capability. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition arena; therefore, this synopsis/solicitation with any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at Http://www.nswc.navy.mil/wwwDL/XD/SUPPLY/. Vendors should regularly access the NSWCDD web site to ensure that they have downloaded all amendments. In order to be eligible for award firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Please note that defense payment office may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT).
