- Description
- The National Park Service plans to solicit proposals to rehabilitate the Sacramento Landing Boat Dock used for emergency response vessels at Point Reyes National Seashore, located in Marin County, CA. The work of this project involves the removal of the existing pier and the construction of a new pier, gangway and float. Proposals should include all necessary expertise, labor, materials, equipment, and tools as needed to perform demolition; pile driving; repairs/improvements to remaining bents; and to construct/install pile caps and bracing, stringers and decking, guardrailings, aluminum gangway, and floating dock extension. The project will require the contractor to coordinate material and equipment needs and availability so that site work can begin on July 16, 2007. Due to environmental restrictions, all in-water work must be completed by October 15, 2007 with final project work to be completed by November 15, 2007. The magnitude of the project is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. An award will be made to one offeror who's proposal is determined to be the Best Value to the Government after consideration of price and factors other than price such as previous experience constructing and installing marine timber piers of similar design/construction; working in environmentally sensitive areas using methods that minimize impacts to the environment; monitoring safe work practices; and working in remote locations with adverse weather conditions. An award may be made without discussions, therefore the initial proposal should contain the offeror's best terms for all items from a price and technical standpoint. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available via electronic commerce only and may be accessed on/about February 13, 2007 at either http://www.fedbizopps.gov or directly through the DOI National Business Center website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The due date for receipt of proposals will be 30 days after the date of issuance of the RFP. The Contractor is responsible for periodically checking the website for any Amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFP. This acquisition is unrestricted and issued pursuant to Public Law 100-656. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which if timely received will be considered.
