Description
This announcement is a Market Survey. This announcement is NOT A SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST (SIR) or REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Further, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement to repair/refurbish approximately 1000 Sony Model DDM-2800-C Main Display Monitors (MDM). These monitors were manufactured by Sony Corporation. The Sony DDM-2800-C MDM is the radar display used for the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) as well as the Automated Radar Terminal System (ARTS) Color Display (ACD) System. The Sony DDM-2800-C is no longer manufactured. The FAA currently has 1000 used Sony Model DDM-2800-C MDMs in stock requiring various levels of repair and/or refurbishment. This work will consist of replacement of the cathode ray tube (CRT), full factory initial alignment, all latest technical bulletins that may apply and other refurbishment that may be required. Should you believe you can perform the work described above, and wish to receive consideration as a potential source, you must provide in writing a complete set of system specification drawings, all required standards and testing specifications, test plans, parts lists and proof of the right to use Sony proprietary data. You must provide proof that you have or can obtain up to 1000 new CRT's required. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. All interested parties are advised the FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred associated with any response to this Market Survey announcement. Therefore, any costs associated with this Market Survey submission will be solely at the interested party's expense. Parties that can meet this requirement should reply via email, by close of business February 9, 2007, to the Contracting Officer, Pamela Davis at pamela.davis@faa.gov.
