- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue RFQ 41702-002-07 for the provision of Physician Services. The services will be performed on individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment, located at the Federal Correctional Institution, Milan, Michigan. The contractor must provide in-house medical consultation and evaluation services to chronic care ambulatory and general population inmates. The Physician must be a graduate of an accredited University with a Doctor?s degree in Medicine. The Physician should have a strong background in primary care and maintain a license in the State of Michigan. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The award will be made to the responsible company or individual who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price related factors only. It is estimated the contract will include 48 weeks of physician services with an estimated 12 hours per week per contract year. The contract periods will consist of a 12-month base year and four 12 month option years. The estimated quantities for the base year and each option year for the Physician Services are approximately 576 one (1) hour sessions per year. The number of hours per week shall not exceed thirty (30) hours. The solicitation will be available on or about February 6, 2007 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about March 1, 2007. The solicitation is 100% set-a-side for small business. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 621111 with a size standard of $9 million. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible small businesses must submit a quote to be considered.
