Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Mensor Corporation 201 Barnes Drive San Marcos, TX 78666-5994 for the purchase of another Mensor Model APC-6000 Automated Pressure Controller System. Sole Source determination is based on the following: The required system is100 percent compatible with NIST?s existing APC-6000 system. The system is a two channel system, each channel is able to control pressure in the range between -10psig and +10psig (bidirectional control) and has the control precision of 0.003% full scale. Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD, and is required within 12 weeks after receipt of order. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334519, and the size standard is 500 employees. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by February 2, 2007. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
