- Description
- Uniformed Protective Services are needed in multiple cities within the United States in support of the Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), Office of Domestic Operations (DO) mission. This will be a firm-fixed price, indefinite quantity indefinite delivery (IDIQ) type of contract with a base year and four one-year options. The contractor shall furnish managerial, administrative and direct labor personnel to accomplish all work as required in the upcoming solicitation. This includes providing approximately 750 armed uniformed security officers which includes, but is not limited to Explosive Ordinance Detection Technicians (dog handlers), Canines, a Special Operations Unit, and two hundred (200) Armed Uniformed Security Officers performing in the National Capitol Region (NCR) and fifteen (15) Armed Uniformed Security Officers in the New York Region (NY) must meet the qualifications for Special Deputy U.S. Marshal. Please note that this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued as full and open. Interested parties must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to receive an award and must have a facility security clearance at the TOP SECRET level issued by the Defense Security Service in accordance with the DOD National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual, prior to contract performance. This solicitation will be issued via FEDBIZOPPS in the coming weeks and a tentative date is set for October 10, 2006. NO PAPER COPIES will be mailed. This pre-solicitation notice is for notification purposes only. Please do not submit any information until the solicitation has been issued. Questions will be taken via e-mail after the solicitation has been posted on FEDBIZOPPS. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (08-SEP-2006).
