- Description
- The Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, GA, has a requirement to establish a Surgical Orthopedic Implant Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) inclusive of internal/external components. The Government intends to issue a Sole Source BPA to the Su ggested Source: Biomet Orthopedics, Inc. This requirement is unique to patient care and will be established for procurement on a as need basis. The contents of this Blanket Purchase Agreement is established in support of the Military Healthcare Community; the surgical implants are patient specific and are determined to be the best medical alternative for the patient prior to performance of the surgical procedure. Surgical Orthopedic Implants are readily available in the commercial industry; however, it is e ssential that the Physician utilize surgically implanted products for which he/she is highly trained to maximize medical risk to the patient. Services Ordered under the established BPA will be for a period of 5 Years or until the Government determines that a bona fide need no longer exist. This is not a request for quotation. However, vendors with similar or like Surgical Orthopedic Implants must submit technical capabilities inclusive of past performance information, delivery schedules and current price listings to be evaluated by the Gove rnment Technical Representative for consideration of future requirements.
