- The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL/ETA), is soliciting proposals to provide technical assistance to YouthBuild program grantees. The Youth Build Program is any program that receives assistance from the Department of Labor and provides disadvantaged youth with opportunities for employment, education, leadership development, and training through the rehabilitation or construction of housing for homeless individuals and low-income families and of public facilities. DOL/ETA anticipates multiple awards may result from this solicitation. The period of performance for the prospective awards will be twelve (12) months from the date of contract execution, plus four 1-year options at the government's discretion. Cost reimbursement type contracts are contemplated being awarded under this solicitation. This solicitation is unrestricted. Pursuant to Public Law 109-281, the YouthBuild Transfer Act, only national non-profit agencies will be considered for award under this procurement. Requests for Proposals will be available on the FedBizOpps site at www.fedbizopps.gov, and the DOL site at http://www.doleta.gov/sga/rfp.cfm, approximately 30 days from the date of publication. Request for Proposals in hard copy form will not be available. Closing date for receipt of proposals will be April 18, 2007 at 2:00 p.m., local time. Requests for proposals must cite DOL071RP20108. Proposals are to be sent and/or hand delivered to the above contracting office address to the attention of Ms. Chanta Ferrell. Faxed proposals will not be accepted. No collect calls will be accepted. It is the sole responsibility of the offeror to continually view the websites for any amendments made to this solicitation.
