- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items to Comcast of Georgia, Inc., Norcross, GA to furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to provide Cable TV Consolidation to the following CDC Buildings at Clifton and Chamblee location (Atlanta): Buildings 1, 2, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21 (Clifton) and Koger Building (Chamblee) for 12-month period. Market research and trial use of an alternative service have determined and proven to be less reliable than Comcast. CDC believes the Comcast of Georgia is the only known source Cable Service that can provide service of the highest reliability levels as required for CDC within the requirement timeframe. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions with Offerors providing the requested services. Therefore, the initial offer should contain the offeror?s best terms from a technical and price standpoint. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 517510 and the Size Standard is 12.5 million for this requirement. Interested vendors capable of furnishing the government with the services in this synopsis should submit two (2) copies of a quotation to the below address. The quotation shall include the itemized price, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin), Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs), and descriptive literature of the service quoted. The quotation must reference Solicitation number 2007Q09310. Quotations will be due fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis or February 12, 2007, by 8:30 a.m. local time, whichever is later. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Submit written quotations to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2920 Brandywine Road, Atlanta, GA 30341, Attention: Willo Lockett. E-mail quotations will only be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative to: Wlockett@cdc.gov. Comcast of Georgia, Inc. is the only known source. However, if any interested party believes it can meet the above requirements, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The capability statement and any other furnished information must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow CDC to determine if the party can fully meet the requirements herein. The requirement will be procured as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12.6. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The following provisions apply to this acquisition; 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercials Items (JAN 2005) applies to this acquisition; 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items (JAN 1999); the evaluation criteria stated in paragraph (a) of this provision are as follows: (1) technical capability of the proposed system to meet the requirements stated herein, and (2) price. The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms & Conditions - Commercial Items (OCT 2003) applies to this acquisition. The following FAR Clauses are hereby added to this clause: 52.247-35 F.O.B. Destination; The clause at 52.212-5 - Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following clauses listed in paragraph (b) of 52.212-5 apply to this acquisition: (1), (3), (5), (7), (9), (11), (12), (14), (15), (17), (18), (20) and (24). OFFERORS SHALL INCLUDE A COMPLETED COPY OF THE PROVISION AT 52.212-3, OFFERORS REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS - COMMERCIAL ITEMS, WITH YOUR QUOTE.
