- The U.S. Department of Energy, Southwestern Power Administration (Southwestern) is seeking quotes for the construction of seismic hardening improvements, re-roofing, and painting of the control building, and the installation of seismic anchors for one transformer at Southwestern???s New Madrid Substation, located approximately 1.5 miles west of New Madrid, MO. The solicitation, when issued, will be identified as DE-RQ75-07SW57296. Per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the magnitude of this project is estimated to be between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The proposed contract is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code for this acquisition is 237130 and the small business size standard is $31,000,000.00. The required period of performance is seventy-five (75) calendar days from the issuance of the notice to proceed. The solicitation will be available on or about February 12, 2007, with quotes being due on or about March 15, 2007.
