- The Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, is requesting sealed bids for Mechanical Maintenance Dredging Of Approximately 90,000 Cubic Yards At The Head Of The Duwamish River navigation channel, Seattle, WA. The dredging shall occur approximatel y five-miles upstream from harbor Island (upstream of Slip 6) and within the turning basin and adjacent channel. All dredged material is considered suitable for open-water disposal. Dredged material shall be disposed of by bottom-dump scow at the pre-des ignated open-water disposal site in Elliot Bay. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. This procurement is a unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 237990 and the small business size standard is $31.0-million . Estimated cost is between $250,000 and $500,000. An Invitation for Bids solicitation package, including the plans and spe cifications will be available on or about Oct 19 2006, for downloading at the Governments website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies will be issued. Interested parties should use the FedBizOpps [Register to receive notification and [Register as an interested Vendor] feature which provides notification when the IFB becomes available for download and all postings associated with the solicitation, thereafter.
