- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD intends to award a sole source production contract under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) Number N00019-06-G-0018 to BAE Systems Advanced Info Tech, Inc. for the continued development of the Maritime Video Verification of Identity (M-VIVID) Software in the E-2C Aircraft. The software will be to support both air and surface targets in maritime environments through the use of Infrared (IR) imagery. The contractor shall provide system engineering and software support for the development of all M-VIVID algorithms and interfaces; support lab performance tests and demonstrations; systems engineering for the design and development of adding advanced sensors to MSI required supporting next generation Airborne Early Warning requirements Infrared Search and Track (IRST) compatible capabilities; provide the research and analysis support in the area of image processing. BAE Systems has the only requisite knowledge, technical expertise, production tooling that no other company or any government staff has to pick up the algorithm development without substantial duplicate work and familiarization.
