- SOLE SOURCE NOTICE: A firm-fixed price commercial supply with incidental services requirement including the reconfiguration of existing and new Herman Miller brand, Action Office 2 modular systems furniture line with delivery is required to accommod ate the additional workforce of the Honolulu Engineer District (HED), with the move of Resource Management Office (CEPOH-RM) and Contracting Division (CEPOH-CT) to building 230, Fort Shafter, Hawaii. The Government pursued A Justification and Approval ci ting 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source And No Other Supplies Or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Herman Miller, Inc. c/o Contract Furnishers of Hawaii, Inc. dba Office Pavilion is the proposed sole source GSA contractor. The Gov ernment intends to issue a delivery order under GSA contract GS-28F-003M to fulfill this requirement. Herman Miller, Inc. c/o Contract Furnishers of Hawaii, Inc. dba Office Pavilion is the only source to accomplish this requirement due to the interlocking requirement needed in order to use HEDs existing Herman Miller parts. This requirement also includes the purchase of 2-drawer lateral file cabinets. Consistent model line, color style, and pattern and interchangeable furniture is necessary to keep costs low and utilize the office space layout most effectively. Therefore, it is imperative that HED is furnished with the Herman Miller brand, Action Office 2 modular systems furniture line, to ensure the interchangeability of parts with the Herman Miller fur niture in the other District offices. HEDs standard color & fabric for the modular systems workstations is Herman Miller Fabrics & Finishes; Tackboard/Panel Fabric: 4701 Ground Cloth Vapor Grey; Paint: MT Medium Tone; Laminate: J5 Frosted Inner Tone Lig ht; Flipper Door Fabric: Rapunzel Mallard 6010.
