- Description
- The U.S. Army Contracting Agency, Directorate of Contracting, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with Thermo Electron North America, LLC, 1400 Northpoint Pkwy, Ste 10, West Palm Beach, FL 33407-1976 . The contractor shall provide a refurbishment and/or upgrade of a GCQ data system in support of ECBC. Thermo Electron is currently contracted and provides original manufacture repairs to the subject equipment. Due to the age of the equipment, specific component parts must be upgraded since they can no longer be repaired. As part of the preventative maint enance agreement, Thermo Electron has provided the government notification that the equipment requires original equipment manufacturing (OEM) upgrading. Thermo Electron also indicated their intention not to cover the analytical system (equipment) as a ful l service contract since certain critical components are difficult to locate if available. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334516 and the size standard is 500 employees. Interested persons may identify their interest, in writing, to the Government point of contact. Responses to this notice must b e received no later than 12:00 noon, Eastern Daylight Time, January 26th, 2007. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers.
