Description

The Southern AZ VA Health Care System, Surgical Care Line, has a requirement for a Stereoscopic Diagonal Invert (SDI)/Binocular Indirect Opthalmo Microscope (BIOM) 3c for Zeiss Visu 200 Microscope by Oculus containing the items below. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; a written solicitation will NOT be issued. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to comply with the below requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within ten (10) days after date of public action of the synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-15, the associated NAICS code 423460, Size Standard 100 employees. The Government contemplates delivery April 30, 2007 FOB destination. The provision at 52.212-1 applies to this acquisition. There are no evaluation criteria as this procurement is being conducted as a sole source, only one source is able to meet the requirement.
