Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, Birmingham, AL intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with The Birmingham News for Advertisement Services. These Advertisement Services are to run ads in the newspaper for the recruitment of highly qualified nurses from the local communities to fill shortages in the Birmingham VA Medical Center. The NACIS code is 323119 and size standard of 500 employees. This procurement will be conducted utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in FAR Part 13 in conjunction with commercial items procedures of FAR Part 12. This Notice of Intent is Not a REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This solicitation will be available on or about January 23, 2007. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their services meet VA requirement, to the Contracting Officer via e-mail or fax at: 334-260-4105. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
