Description
The Coast Guard is conducting market research in an effort to identify whether or not there is a commercially available pump that can meet the government?s need. The Coast Guard is investigating the replacement of existing auxiliary seawater pumps on board the 225? WLB A Class cutters. The pump will be used to pump seawater to various services such as AC plants, refrigeration units, fuel oil coolers, hydraulic power unit coolers, etc. The seawater is needed by these various services for cooling purposes. The Coast Guard is looking for a complete pump unit with the pump and attached electric drive motor mounted on a pump stand as one assembly. 1. Equipment Salient Features: - Pump Type ? Vertical, In-line, Centrifugal (Must also be suitable for horizontal installation where the base is bolted to a vertical surface) - Design Flow (gpm) ? 326 - Design Discharge Head (ft) ? 115 - Maximum NPSHR (ft) ? 25 - Maximum length between inlet and outlet flanges 17 inches. - Maximum assembly width (inches) ? 14 - Maximum assembly height (inches) ? 34 - Inlet ? 2-1/2?, 125# flange. - Outlet - 2-1/2?, 125# flange - Fluid Service - Seawater - Motor rating ? 20 HP, 440VAC, 3 phase, 60 hertz, IEEE-45, NEMA MG-1, continuous duty, TEFC, 50 degree C - Materials ? In accordance with ASTM F-998 for seawater pumps - Seals ? Cartridge type mechanical seals with cyclone type abrasive separator in seal water line. Please send literature with a full description. 2. Are these products current production units? 3. Do you offer these products commercially? 4. If you do not offer a commercial product that already meets these requirements, do you offer a commercial product that could be modified to meet these requirements? 5. Do you believe there is a better method for the government to fulfill these requirements? If so, explain. 6. Do you expect to offer a new product or service some time in the future that might affect the product you are offering for this requirement? 7. Can you provide any pumps that meet the requirements of ASME B73.2? 8. Do your products or components meet any nationally recognized standards, for example ASTM F-998, ASTM F-1511, NEMA MG-1, and NEMA ICS-1? 9. What type of manufacturing or services quality control do you provide? Please provide a copy of the quality control if available. If not available, please explain in detail your standard practices for quality control. 10. What kind of standard testing is performed on your product? Please provide a copy of the standard testing or please explain in detail the type of testing performed. 11. Do you normally provide electronic file copy of drawings on CD in AutoCAD? 12. Do you have a commercial catalog for a related group of products or services? If so, please provide a copy or a web address. 13. Do you have a published price list for your products and/or services? If not, how do you come up with pricing? 14. What type of quantity or other discounts do you offer your customers? 15. Are there any additional charges for special marking, packing and packaging? 16. Do you offer long-term storage? If so, are there any additional charges for the long-term storage? 17. The government intends to buy, store and then install the units. Installation might not occur until a year after delivery. What are your standard warranty terms? Does the warranty period start upon delivery of unit or upon installation of unit? Please provide a copy of the warranty terms. 18. What is the average life span of your product? How long will you support it? 19. What is the lead time for manufacturing and delivering these products? 20. What is your average lead-time for your installation planning and services? 21. Do you provide technical publications, provisioning technical documentation and recommendations for on board repair parts and installation interface drawings commercially? If not commercially, is this something that you can provide? 22. What is your standard packaging and marking? Please provide details. 23. Manufacturers may submit any and all information, literature and documentation that they feel may be beneficial. 24. Is your company a small or large business? 25. Where is your pump manufactured?
