Description
Contractor responsibilities are to maintain and operate Government owned fuel and cryogenic facilities and equipment at Naval Air Station (NAS) Corpus Christi (Truax Field), TX, hereafter referred to as NAS Corpus Christi. The contractor will furnish, maintain, and operate mobile fuel servicing equipment required and necessary to support the facilities, equipment, vehicles, and aircraft assigned to and as may transit, deploy to, or exercise from NAS Corpus Christi. Contractor will provide aviation and ground fuel support services at Outlying Fields (OLF) Cabaniss Field and Waldron Field. The primary role of NAS Corpus Christi and its outlying fields is that of pilot training using the T-34, T-44, and C-12 airframes. NAS Corpus Christi also supports a mine warfare (helicopter) unit, the United States Coast Guard (USCG), a US Customs aviation unit, and the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD), an aviation (helicopter) rework facility. In support of these missions, the Contractor shall be responsible for the following fuels and cryogenic management functions: bulk product, aviation and ground fuel, receipt, storage, handling, and issue operations; fuel services (issue and defuel) of aviation fuels to aircraft, ground support equipment, and facilities using mobile refueler and a portable pantograph system; fuel services (issue and defuel) of ground fuel products via mobile fuel servicing truck; the testing of, collection (defuel) by truck, storage, handling, and disposal of Used Oil (jet fuel); the operation of the manual/automated service station to include receipt of products; product quality surveillance, sampling and testing, and fuel laboratory operations; fuel accounting and administrative functions to include the management of FAS and DFAMS systems as they apply to petroleum and cryogenic functions. The receipt, storage, handling, issue, and quality surveillance of cryogenic products (LOX and LN2) and gases as may be required; all associated inspections, preventive maintenance (PM), and operator maintenance applicable to the petroleum and cryogenic systems and documentation of all inspections, PM, maintenance, and repair actions. These actions may include the installation, administration, and upkeep of an automated preventive maintenance program and other software.
