- Description
- The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Acquisitions Management and Operations Branch (AMOB) has a sole source requirement for a service plan to repair, realign, and recalibrate approximately four (4) Mai Tai Lasers. The contractor will repair the lasers upon failure; provide parts required for this repair; realign or recalibrate, should this be needed; provide parts and service to keep the laser at optimum performance, and provide travel and personnel to service the laser. The NIAID intends to award a contract for one base year and four consecutive option years beginning on or about October 1, 2007 to Spectra-Physics, Inc. on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1. Spectra-Physics is the only responsible source for this requirement. The parts for the lasers and information for repair are available only from the manufacturer.
