- Description
- The 96th Contracting Squadron (96 CONS/MSCB), Eglin AFB, FL intends to offer Timber Sales on the Eglin AFB Reservation. Work will consist of harvesting all trees designated for removal as specified herein. The contractor shall provide all Management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to ensure that timber removal services are performed at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, in a satisfactory manner. This sale consists of thinning a Longleaf Stand by harvesting all longleaf, sand, slash and loblolly pine trees designated for removal as specified. There is 1 harvest unit under 1 CLIN consisting of approximately 585 acres and containing 17,900 tons of pine timber. Timber will be sold on a lump sum. Timber sold is located within Harvest unit 03LL01 and is comprised of longleaf, sand, slash, and loblolly pine species. These sale areas are located in closed areas and may require closing of the areas frequently for short periods as missions dictate. Contractor is required to comply with Florida Best Management Practices (BMP) for silviculture to protect and maintain the State's water quality, during all activities. This is a notification to interested parties. The solicitation number for this announcement is FA2823-07-R-0008. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code for this sale is 113310.
