Description

The U.S Department of Homeland Security, National Acquisition Center, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed Price, Commercial type purchase order with Thermo Electron North America, LLC (TENA) in accordance with FAR Part 6.302. Multiple awards are not being sought. Requirement: TENA will provide a Gas Chromatograph and selected optional items necessary for the GC to be interfaced with the current TENA Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer and system. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Any firm that believes it can meet the requirements of this Notice must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by Monday, January 29, 2007. A firm submitting information should provide supporting evidence in sufficient detail to demonstrate the capability of the firm/product to provide a COMPATIBLE Gas Chromatograph that interfaces with the current system and does not violate current manufacturer?s warranties. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer at: CBP National Acquisition Center, 6650 Telecom Drive, Intech Two, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278-2010. No telephone or e-mail submission of information will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the Sole Source contract.
