- Description
- Types of services will primarily include the training of Forest Service Engineering Employees in transportation planning in accordance with Forest Service National and local policies. Training shall include logging systems techniques, road condition surveys, road location, road analysis and engineering report writing for QLG timber sales. Employees to be trained will be located in Susanville, CA. This service requires office and field instruction of trainees in the Supervisor 's Office, District Ranger Offices and in the field within the Lassen National Forest boundaries. Contractor is expected to attend interdisciplinary meetings on Ranger Districts for transportation planning portion of ongoing timber sales. Contractor will be provided office space, reference materials such as policy manuals, aerial photos, GIS products, engineering software and computer access located at the Supervisor's Office in Susanville, CA. Government provides transportation for field work and District Office meetings. The Government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with a base year and two one-year options. It is estimated that contractor will provide services between fifty and eighty days per year.
