- Description
- The U.S. Army RDECOM Acquisition Center - Natick Contracting Division on behalf of Product Manager Clothing and Individual Equipment has a requirement for a lightweight, highly-breathable hot weather combat boot with integrated flame and conductive heat resistance for issue to deploying flight and Combat Vehicle Crewman personnel. The boot shall be tan in color and consist of an upper constructed from flesh-side out cattlehide leather and flame resistant materials. The soling system shall be desig ned for comfort and shock attenuation as well as durability. The government anticipates a full and open competition acquisition. The NAICS Code is 316213. The government envisions the use of a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantit y (IDIQ) contract, with an ordering period of One Year. Delivery rate shall commence no later than 90 days after issuance of the initial delivery order at a minimum rate of 10,000 pairs per month. For subsequent delivery orders, the delivery rate is 10,000 pairs per month beginning 30 days after issuance of the delivery order. The guaranteed minimum is 20,000 pairs, and the maximum quantity will be 65,000 pairs. The procurement will utilize Simplified Acquisitions Procedures in amounts greater than $100,000 as authorized in FAR 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items.
