- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services/items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Refer to Request for Quotation DJB31603-002-7. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS Code is 333319 and small business size standard is 500 or less employees. FCI Williamsburg intends to award a sole source purchase order to JWC Environmental for the purchase of a Muffin Monster waste water grinder with a 29:1 reducer. This purchase is to replace an existing Muffin Monster waste water grinder already in use and be compatible with existing equipment already in place. Item description specifications: 3 HP motor, 7 Cam self-contained cutter cartridge, high pressure capability- 90 PSI, Flow Rate GPM (m3/h) In -Line 265 (60), cutters and spacer: 4130 (BS5130) heat treated alloy steel, surface ground for uniformity and through-hardened to a min 45-50 Rockwell ?c?; Shafts: 4140 ( BS 9780/ DIN 172000/ ISO R 639 T.2) heat treated hexagonal steel. End Housings and Covers: Cast from ASTM A536 Ductile Iron; Seal Faces Tungsten Carbide/ Tungsten Carbide; Side Rails Cast from ASTM A536 Ductile Iron; Buna N Elastomers. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a), full and open competition need not be provided when there is only one responsible source and no other supply or service will satisfy agency requirements. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by this agency. The following clause applies to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial; FAR 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic funds Transfer, Central Contractor Registration. FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. Vendors must be actively registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The CCR website is http://www.ccr.gov. Contractors are asked to submit a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items along with any quotations. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/ bids/ quotations equally with other organizations for contracts which they are eligible. The contractor shall provide all services as specified in the solicitation. Quotes must be received no late than 3PM EST on Wednesday, January 10, 2007.
