- This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation to satisfy the government?s requirement for commercial item(s)/service(s) (Sandblasting) per format in subpart part 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this solicitation. This announcement constitutes the only publication; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ) and the solicitation number is M6700107Q0021. Documentation number is M2181007SU00006. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for all qualified small businesses. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-05. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 332813 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The purpose of this solicitation is to procure the commercial item/service listed below, in support of 2nd MarDiv aboard Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC. The item/service required is AAV Sandblasting. Line Item 0001: Qty: 6 Total Historic pieces Sandblasted, Primed, & Painted,(2- M-60 Tanks, M-118 Tank, LVTP-5A1, Iraqi Bmp, 1- LVTPX-12). Service Description: Provide all labor and materials to sandblast 6 military pieces listed above, to near white finish (SSPC SP-10); Containment tent will be erected to contain dust and contaminants, Areas blasted will be coated with One (1) coat of epoxy primer (Polyamide-Epoxy 2 component) at a rate of 4.0 to 7.0 mils; Above areas will be coated with One (1) coat industrial urethane (Acrylic Aliphatic Urethane) at a rate of 1.5 to 2.0 mils, color to be determined upon award; Above areas will be coated with One (1) coat of clear industrial urethane enamel at a rate of 1.5 to 2.5 mils; All work will be completed during the hours of 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday; All work will be done in a neat and orderly fashion. Work will be completed in a timely and professional manner; Complete job site clean up during cleaning process and at completion o f job. All work will be completed by 02 Feb 07.
