Description
ID PFH 22-1(10), Cascade - Warm Lake Road, Boise National Forest, Valley County, Idaho. THIS SOLICITATION IS BEING CONSIDERED FOR A TOTAL HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. Prime Contractors who are HUBZone small businesses and who intend to submit an offer for this solicitation, MUST submit their information by e-mail to contracts@mail.wfl.fhwa.dot.gov or by fax to 360.619.7932 for receipt by 5:00 pm local time on January 10, 2007. (NOTE: Should your HUBZone firm fail to respond by this deadline, you may still submit a bid/offer.) Your submission must include the following: (a) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (b) your date of HUBZone small business certification; (c) a statement of your bonding capability, including both single and aggregate totals; and (d) a listing of your experience in work of similar type and scope, including contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and the names and phone numbers of points of contact for the contracting entity. This agency will NOT contact respondents for missing data, so it is imperative that you include sufficient detail on all of the above points. A decision on whether this project will be pursued as a HUBZone small business set-aside or on an unrestricted basis will be posted as a modification in FedBizOpps. THIS WORK CONSISTS OF 5 km of Cold in place recycle, asphalt concrete paving, drainage, and subexcavation. THE PROJECT INCLUDES Construction Survey and Staking; Contractor Quality Control and Assurance; Contractor Sampling and Testing; Construction Schedules; Silt fence; Sediment wattle; Check dam; 1000 m3 watering for Dust Control; Removal of 6523 m curbs, 60 m of waterway; 3 pipes, 30 inlets, and 17 signs; 13000 m3 Subexcavation; 19000 t Select borrow; 285 m3 Embankment; 24000 m3 of Earthwork geotextiles; 80 m3 Riprap; 8500 t Crushed aggregate; 15536 m2 Recycled aggregate; 22500 t Superpave hot asphalt concrete pavement; 20 t Asphalt prime coat; 50 t Asphalt tack coat; 435 m2 Asphalt pavement milling; 93222 m2 Continuous cold recycled asphalt base course; 205 m Culverts; 16 Inlets; 2900m Underdrains; 2465 m Curb and Gutter; 100 m Guardrail; 5 slry Turf establishment; 55 m2 Sign system; 992 Delineator; 134530 m Permanent pavement markings; 4500 Flagger hours; 800 Pilot car hours and other smaller items of work. PROJECT IS LOCATED approximately 5 km NE of Cascade, Idaho. Work shall be completed by November 1, 2007. Estimated PRICE RANGE is between $5,000,000 and $7,000,000. The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs): The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOTs Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $750,000 with interest at prime rate, as published daily in the Wall Street Journal, plus 1.75 percent.
