- Subject: Herbicide Application at Thurmond Lake Project Description of Work: The purpose of this contract is to apply herbicides for forestry and agricultural purposes on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Land at Thurmond Lake Project. The herbicide application will be performed on cut-over/planted timber stands an d wildlife food plots. Little or no site preparation has been done to the cut-over timber stands. The work consists of applying five different formulations of herbicide which will be specified in the Solicitation. The work shall be done on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lands; J. Strom Thurmond Lake Project, in Lincoln, Columbia, Elbert, and McDuffie County, GA and McCormick County, South Carolina. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, herbicide and other supplies to provide forest/agricu ltural herbicide application services as described. Further details will be posted in the solicitation. This will be a 100% set-aside for Small Business and is solicited under NAICS 115310. The small business size standard for this NAICS is $6.million. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This award is subject to availablity of funds. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 08 Jan 2007.
