Description
This action is proposed to be solicited on a sole source basis to Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Rochester, New York. The work will primarily be for engineering and for related technical support on the USMC Light Armored Vehicle Family of V ehicles. This proposed contract action is for a project for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The contract period shall be for five years. The proposed contract is a level of e ffort, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with an estimated on 19,000 man hours for the based year. Options years if exercised are as follows: Option Year Maximum man hours Year 1 20,000 Year 2 20,000 Year 3 20,000 Year 4 20,000 The anticipated period of performance is 12 months with an option to exercise up to forty-eight additional months or four years. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals to be consider ed for future requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, all proposals received by the closing time and date will be considered for future requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this pr oposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any vendor who bel ieves that they can provide the requirement should email their companys capabilities information to the attention of Marie Sargee no later than 12:00 (noon) EST, 12 January 2007 at marie.sargee@us.army.mil.
