- Description
- The 10th Mission Support Group, Directorate of Contracting, United States Air Force Academy Colorado, intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13. This notice document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-13, 28 Sep 06. The North America Industry Classification System Code [NAICS] is 339112 and the size standard is 500 employees. The government has determined that Stereo Optical Company, Inc. is the sole Manufacturer and Distributor of the Optec 2300AFVT; and therefore, is considered the only source that can satisfy the government?s requirements. The requirement is to purchase two Optec 2300 Armed Forces Vision Testers P/N: 2300AFVT. The Optec Vision Tester Armed Forces 2300 is a requirement for all preventative health assessments and all flying class exams as stated in AF Pamphlet 48-133 Chapter 2 Paragraph 5. The Opsec Vision Tester is the required standard of care for all military physical exams and was specifically designed for military use. All responsible sources may submit a response of technical data (2 pages or less) to support their claim, which if timely received, will be considered by 10MSG/LGCB. Responses can be made via telephone, fax, or e-mail before 3 pm MST on the date specified. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. The Government will not pay for any information provided under this synopsis.
