- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to procure Controllable Pitch Propeller Hubs, Stock Number 2010-12-307-6891, Right hand Hub, VA TECH Escher Wyss Gmbh P/N 8345940-00RH, quantity 1 each; and Stock Number 2010-12-307-6892, Left hand Hub, VA Tech Escher Wyss Gmbh P/N 8345940-00LH, quantity 1 each, installed onboard the 378' WHEC Coast Guard vessels. Substitute part numbers shall not be acceptable. It is the Government's belief that only VA Tech Escher Wyss, the Original Equipment Manufacturer, and/or their authorized distributors, can supply these Hubs. The Government did not procure the technical and engineering data rights to provide with the solicitation to allow for a competitive acquisition therefore it is the Government's intent to solicit and negotiate with only VA Tech Escher Wyss and/or their authorized distributors. Concerns, other than the OEM and/or the OEM's authorized distributors, having the expertise and required capabilities to supply these Hubs are invited to submit complete and current information discussing their capabilities within ten (10) calendar days from the date this notice is posted. The information that must be submitted includes: (1) Complete and current technical and engineering data to demonstrate offeror capabilities (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) and/or (2) Data that these Hubs have been successfully manufactured for the Government and/or the OEM. This data must include sufficient information that fully demonstrates the offeror's capabilities and to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information and offeror capabilities relative to the above requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall not be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review does not impede award of this contract as planned. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited. See Numbered Notes 12, 22, and 26. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1.
