Description
Sources sought for market research and interested firms for a Flight Medicine Provider at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho. Sources sought to participate in market research for the acquisition of a Flight Medicine Provider at Mountain Home AFB, ID. The resulting contract will require the contractor a flight medicine provider who has completed and graduated from the Residency of Aerospace Medicine Program and/or successfully completed the Aerospace Medicine Primary Course from the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine, or other DoD Flight Medicine Provider course, and who is licensed in the United States and can be credentialed to provide preventive medicine services. These services include comprehensive aerospace medicine, occupational medicine, and/or preventive medicine services in the outpatient clinical setting including but are not limited to the primary care management of common adult illnesses and injuries, health risk counseling, pre-placement examinations, fitness for duty examinations, perform shop visits, medical management of exposure to environmental toxins, deployment and travel medicine, as well as initial management and transport of decompression illness, and the treatment of clinical complaints associated with hyperbaric and hypobaric chamber activities. The flight surgeon will also serve as the Medical Review Officer for the Drug Abuse Testing Program. Contractor shall furnish all labor, management, supervision, teaching, consultations and reports. Contract providers standard of care and range of services shall be similar to those expected in the civilian community, other military Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF) and as applicable by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The purpose of market research will be to determine the common practices used in the commercial marketplace and the commercial/industrial standards the work must meet. Respondents will be requested to complete a market research questionnaire, either verbally or in writing, or both, and to participate in verbal discussions concerning commercial practices. This action is being considered for set-aside under the Small Business Program. If interest is not received from a sufficient number of small business firms, full and open competition will be considered. Interested firms should notify this office, in writing or by email, of their intention to submit proposals for this acquisition as early as possible but not later than 29 Dec 06. All firms shall list their name, address, phone number, point of contact, and type of business.
