- Description
- The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary for timber removal services at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. This sale consists of harvesting all sand pine trees designated for removal as specified Herein. There are 2 harvest units under 2 contract line items consisting of approximately 303 acres and 242 acres and containing 25,456 tons of sand pine timber. Timber will be sold on a lump sum basis. Offerors may propose on one or both CLINs. Timber sales are located within Harvest units 05N02(Yellow Root) and 05N06(HogPen Branch) and are comprised of natural sand pine only. These sale areas are located in closed areas and may require closing of the areas frequently for short periods as missions dictate. Contractor is required to comply with Florida Best Management Practices (BMPs) for silviculture to protect and maintain the State?s water quality, during all activities.
