- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention contemplates issuing a firm fixed priced purchase order to Waters Corporation, the only known source for the routinely needed maintenance of Waters HPLC and MS Products; including Breeze systems, so that they are maintained at design specifications. Since Waters Corporation has the specifications and proprietary rights to manufacture the spare parts and has had a successful collaborative efforts with the CDC providing these services that results in high quality equipment performance capable to complete the instrument?s purpose, it is the Government?s intention to award a maintenance agreement to Waters Corporation. To the best of our knowledge, only one responsible source and no other manufacturer that we know of could provide the requisite protocol to complete the maintenance this year. . Note 22 applies herein. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order will be based on responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the government.
