- In accordance with the procedures specified in Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76, Performance of Commercial Activities (Revised 29 May 2003), USDA Comptroller Operations Division New Orleans, LA hereby make this notice as formal public announcement and official start date of a Public-Private Competition of Financial Payment functions performed at New Orleans, LA. The functions primarily perform travel processing and payment issuance support processing. The incumbent service providers affected are approximately 84 full time equivalents (FTE) government personnel positions and 12 non-government personnel (contractors). The study will be conducted using Standard Competition procedures. This notice does not constitute a solicitation. A solicitation is tentatively scheduled to be made available at www.FedBizOpps.gov in February 2007. Prospective private sector and public reimbursable service providers are encouraged to respond to the solicitation. The projected end date for this competition is 30 SEP 2007. The designated Competitive Sourcing Official is Mr. Charles R. Christopherson, Jr., Chief Financial Officer. The Contracting Officer is Vivian McPherson. The Agency Tender Official is Mr. John Brewer, Associate Chief Financial Officer, Financial Operations.
