- Description
- The Architect of the Capitol is soliciting proposals to provide approximately 25% of 255,000 square feet of ceiling tile per year, subject to availability of funds. The period of performance will be a base year with three (3) 1-year options. The existing ceiling is a concealed beveled extruded aluminum bolt slot grid that is installed on 5' (60") centers which comprise sixty inch square modules. Within each of these modules there is one 2' x 2' fluorescent light fixture and eight (8) acoustical panels with kerfed concealed edges that are beveled and rabbited with a narrow return. Each module's acoustical panels are configured in three sizes: four (4) panels measuring 17.719" x 17.719", two (2) panels measuring 24" x 17.719" and two (2) panels measuring 17.719" x 24". The acoustical panels use hidden splines and "Z" bar. The new ceiling tiles shall not require the AOC to modify the 5' x 5' ceiling grid system. The HSOB ceiling was originally manufactured by Celotex. The ceiling tile and its manufacturer shall incorporate LEED rating system to sustainable design into its product. The Contractor shall provide services to initially train maintenance personnel to install the ceiling tiles. A site visit will be held and its details will be provided in Section L of the solicitation package. The solicitation will be issued on or about January 15, 2007. The due date for receipt of proposals will be on or about February 15, 2007. The solicitation will be available electronically at http://www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm on the date of issuance. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTRONIC VERSION AS THIS WILL EXPEDITE RECEIPT OF THE SOLICITATION. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MONITOR THIS SITE FOR ALL CHANGES!
