- The incumbents shall serve as Financial Specialists in the Department of Treasury?s Office of Technical Assistance. Incumbents shall perform accounting functions and other financial related analyses to assist the Financial Manager in ensuring accuracy and timeliness of official accounting records and reports for projects and activities in the office. Experience with the Federal Travel Regulations, and the NFC (National Finance Center) payroll database is helpful. Knowledge of Federal government accounting is desired. Salary range is from $36,671 through $84,559 subject to January 1, 2007 cost of living adjustments (COLA). B.A. in accounting or related field is desired. Knowledge of Treasury accounting system, knowledge of Federal Travel Regulations or payroll experience, 5 years of accounting or financial-related experience is preferred. Computer experience, spreadsheet, word processing, EXCEL, ACCESS and LOTUS mandatory. Please note: These are PERSONAL SERVICES CONTRACTOR positions; NOT civil service positions.
