Description
The project consists of maintenance dredging of the Rudee Inlet Entrance Channel, Channel and Sand Trap. The contract will be awarded as an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract with Task Orders issued for the respective dredging lo cations as specified. The Contractor shall provide all necessary plant, labor, materials and equipment as indicated in the respective Task Orders. All work shall be performed by hydraulic dredge and pipeline method. The Entrance Channel and Channel shall b e dredged to depths varying between 11 feet and 12 feet MLLW (NOS) with 2 feet of allowable overdepth at each respective depth; and the Sand Trap to a depth of 18 feet MLLW (NOS) with 2 feet of allowable overdepth. The Contractor shall place the dredged ma terial in the Government-furnished, unconfined, shoreline dredged material management area and construct finished elevations and grades in the placement area to the tolerances indicated and specified. The Contractor is informed dredging activities and mobi lization of plant and equipment to the beach, with the exception of surveys, will not be allowed during the period 24 May to 5 September. The total contract price including options (if exercised) shall not exceed $4,500,000.00. Duration of this contract is one-year (365 calendar days) with two one-year option periods. This is an UNRESTRICTED procurement action. NAICS Code 237990 applies. The project duration is approximately 365 calendar days. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic forma t. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation is via the Internet. The solicitation will not be issued in paper format. Notification of amendments may be made by facsimile, floppy disk, compact disk and/or postings to the Internet. The media selected for solicitation amendments shall be solely at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, as separate notifications for each amendment may not be sent to planholders, bidders shall be responsible for monitoring the Interne t for amendments.
