- Provide Orthopedic Surgeon on site at Ireland Army Community Hospital (IACH), Fort Knox, Kentucky, during the period of 1 February 2007 through 31 October 2007. The contractor shall perform full-time General Surgeon services in the General Surgery C linic and surgery as scheduled by the Chief, Department of Surgery. The contract general surgeon will have clinic, surgery and on-call schedule similar to the military general surgeon. The award of any contract issued as a result of the solicitation wi ll be made to the lowest-priced, responsive, responsible, offeror of a qualified candidate. The contract surgeon shall have successfully completed a residency-training program in surgery, which is approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). This requirement is unrestricted, NAICS 561320, with a size standard of $12.5M, applies to this requirement. The solicitation will be issued on or about 27 December 2006 with quotes due on or about 10 January 2007. The solicitation will be posted on the Fort Knox homepage website at http://doc.knox.army.mil on or about 27 December 2006. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. All amendments to the solicitation will be likewise posted to this website. Contractors are ca utioned to check this website for amendments. No solicitation mailing list will be compiled.
