Description
This synopsis is for a Firm Fixed Price contract for a 90KVA alternator capable of providing 115/200 or 230/400 three phase alternating current at 400 HZ, that will interface with Model A/M32A-86D generator set chassis, physically interfaced with the existing Detroit Diesel engine, and electrically interface with the existing voltage regulator. The alternator must also contain 6 sets of armature windings, provide aircraft quality output power, and be able to operate in a wide array of climates and weather conditions. Drawings are available. NSN: 6115-01-200-6843, NOUN: Generator, Alternator, P/N: 849046, QUANTITY: BASIC YEAR: 1 FIRST ARTICLE (CONTRACTOR/GOVERNMENT TESTING) and PRODUCTION OPTION FOR 41 EACH. TWO ADDITIONAL OPTION PERIODS - Option Me Qty: 10-40 Option II Qty: 10-40, Option. DELIVERY of First Article is due 330 days after receipt of contract for testing at Hill, AFB, OH. Contractor will be responsible for transportation costs of FA for required testing. Production quantities will have inspection and acceptance at Origin with FOB Origin. Option quantities will be due 220 days after EXERCISE OF OPTION OR APPROVAL OF FIRST ARTICLE, WHICHEVER OCCURS LAST. Drawings will be made available on line when the RFP is posted. The approximate RFP issue date will be 16 January 2007 with the approximate response date of 15 Feb 2007. RFP will be available at www.fedbizopps.gov only. No telephone requests. Only written, faxed, e-mailed requests received directly from the requestor will be acceptable. No hard copies of solicitation will be issued. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any. Written procedures will be used. This procurement will use the Performance Information Retrieval System-Statistical Reporting (PPIRS-SR) In Past Performance Evaluation Program in the evaluation of past performance. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. See Notes 8, 26 and Local Note ?F?.
