- Description
- The United States Postal Service, Western Facilities Service Office, is seeking interest from General Contractors to prequalify for one or more Indefinite Quantity Contracts (IQC)/Job Order Contracts (JOC) for repair and alteration projects within the Arizona District. The term of the contracts will be for one year, with four possible one-year renewal options. The maximum aggregate amount under the contracts will not exceed $9.5 million dollars. A Job Order Contract is an indefinite quantity contract pursuant to which the contractor will perform a series of individual projects at different Postal Service facilities. Prequalified contractors will propose a Multiplier to be applied to a Unit Price Schedule. This Multiplier will apply to each unit price in the Unit Price Schedule. The geographical area is the Arizona District, including all of the State of Arizona except Zip Code 865, which is a portion of NE Arizona. If the contractor does NOT have an office located within the geographical area, the contractor must furnish information on how the company will administer the contract from their office outside of the area as required in the qualification statement. General Contractors must meet the following minimum requirements to apply: (1) Your firm must be willing and able to work on all projects that may occur within the Arizona District and possess a valid contractor?s license(s) for Arizona or provide a copy of the application(s) to obtain such license(s); (2) Your firm must provide proof of bonding with a minimum aggregate dollar amount of $2,500,000; (3) Your firm must have been in business, under the firm?s present name, for a minimum of five consecutive years. In addition, selected contractors will be required to possess or obtain the minimum computer requirements as outlined in the solicitation package. Factors used to evaluate the contractors who will meet the prequalification standards are detailed in the solicitation package and include financial capability, experience and safety. The Contractor Qualification Statements will be evaluated by a USPS Committee, and only the most qualified contractors will be selected. Submittals must be completed using the format provided in the solicitation package. Submittals will not be returned. Only those applicants ordering a package will be evaluated. Applicants will be advised within 30 days after the closing of this solicitation as to prequalification status. This is not a Request for Proposal.
