- An Industry Day conference will be hosted by the Data at Rest Tiger Team (DARTT) of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Networks and Information Integration/DoD Chief Information Officer (ASD(NII)DoD CIO) on 20 Dec 06. This invitation to participate in the conference does not constitute either an invitation for bid or a request for proposal or quotation. The conference will be held at 12355 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, VA 20191, 4th floor, Room 450 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The purpose of the DARTT Industry Day is to inform the vendor community of DoD?s planned approach for acquiring Data at Rest encryption products, discuss possible requirements, and provide an opportunity for vendors to ask the government questions. The DARTT Industry Day will consist of discussions/briefings presented by the DARTT describing the planned acquisition approach, technical requirements and dissemination of draft DAR encryption RFQ. Time will be allocated for questions and answers. Participants are encouraged to provide comments, identify potential risks of acquiring, implementing, maintaining, and using this type of products, and identify if it is possible to satisfy the DARTT requirements with commercially available products. All interested parties are welcome to attend. Pre-registered attendees will be allowed in starting at 12:00 p.m. Non-registered attendees will register starting at 12:30 p.m., if seating permits. Participation in the Industry Day conference is voluntary. The information presented herein or at the conference will not obligate the Government in any manner. The Government will not reimburse the attendees for any cost associated with participation and is under no obligation to award any related acquisition associated with this event.
