- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued separate from this announcement. Solicitation DE-RQ65-07WG74402 is issued as a Request for Quotation. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-14. This solicitation is 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Code (NAICS) is 532412 and the business size standard is $6.5 Mil or less. COMMERCIAL ITEM SPECIFICATION: Crane Rental The U.S. Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration, Desert Southwest Customer Service Region requires: CLIN 0001 Crane Rental, 6 Months ??? Crane Rental. Minimum 70 ton capacity crane rental in the Blythe, California area. Require crane rental period: from December 2006 through May 2007. Crane to be delivered and picked up within 30 miles of Blythe, CA (location to be determined). Crane requirement: minimum 70 ton capacity; minimum of 125??? of full power boom; removable counterweights; rough terrain hydraulic crane, minimum ????? rope diameter; full vision cab with safety glass; fully independent power steering; full lighting. NOTE: Operator NOT needed. The following FAR clauses/provisions are applicable to this acquisition. FAR Clause/Provisions, 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items; 52.212-2, Evaluation ??? Commercial Items. The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose quotation is the most advantageous to the Government, considering price and price-related factors. Technical specification compliance and price when combined are slightly more important when compared to past performance. Contractor shall submit with their offer, 2 (two) copies of information data of product offered, in addition to at least 3 (three) references for past performance for the intention of offer evaluation. Offerors should include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications ??? Commercial Item or a statement that they are ORCA registered; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items found at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/vffara.htm. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
