Description
Purposes of this modification is to amend the specification as follows and to answer the following Requests for Information (RFI) submitted for this project. The proposal due date is extended to COB, 07 Sept 2006. SPECIFICATION AMENDMENT: 1. (DELETION) Section 01100, Paragraph 1.12 (TEMPORARY BUOYS) - this paragraph shall be deleted. RFI RESPONSES: 1. RFI: What is the material specification and wall thickness for the 4 each - 16" diameter pipe piles to be driven at Station Humboldt Bay? Is there any coating on these piles? RESPONSE: The pile specification is as follows: Sixteen (16) inch outside diameter, three - eighths (3/8) inch wall thickness, straight or spiral seam or seamless welded pipe conforming to ASTM A252 Grade 2 or 3, or ASTM A53 Grade B, with factory beveled ends. No coating required for piles. 2. RFI: Are the U-Bolts (used for ladder extension brackets) and range board brackets also furnished by the Government? RESPONSE: Yes, the Government will furnish the ladder extension bracket U-bolts and range board brackets. 3. RFI: The specifications say the Government will also furnish all platforms for this project. Does this included the fiberglass grating and lantern stands? RESPONSE: Yes, the Government will furnish the fiberglass grating and lantern stands for all platforms. 4. RFI: Which party installs the dayboards onto the ATON? The contractor or the Government? RESPONSE: The contractor will install the dayboards. This means that the Government supply of dayboards shall be shipped to the contractor prior to the commencement of work. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (21-JUL-2006).
