- Description
- The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) Contracts and Control Review Department (CCRD) has a requirement for professional audit services in support of its Premium Compliance Program. It is anticipated that PBGC may award one or more contracts on a labor-hour basis in support of this program. The primary objective of the Premium Compliance program is to assess compliance with PBGC premium regulations and filing requirements. Reports issued by contractors will provide input as to whether plan sponsors have paid PBGC the appropriate amount of premiums and met other filing and reporting requirements. The contractor will be responsible for complying with standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts and Government Auditing Standards as they relate to application of agreed-upon procedures, examinations, and consulting services, as appropriate. As PBGC has the burden of proving that plan sponsors did not pay the appropriate amount of premiums and the work of the contractor may be subject to review in court proceedings, it is critical that all work be performed in accordance with the referenced auditing standards. The solicitation document, including any amendments, will be distributed through the FedBizOpps.gov web site. The site contains downloading instructions. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
