- Description
- The National Science Foundation (NSF) intends to procure, on a sole-source basis, Webcasting/Archival Services for a December 11, 2006, National Press Club event: Juvenile Fossil Plesiosaur Found in Antartica. Services will include a Presidential-plus package, live, multiple camera shoot with simultaneous transmission to real media/windows media. The National Press Club has an agreement with ConnectLive Communications, Inc., to provide webcasting services for all events held at the Press Club and does not allow any outside vendors to provide these services for any events taking place at the National Press Club. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement of submit proposals. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. An ombudsman has been appointed to help resolve any offeror?s non-routine matters or concerns that may not have been sufficiently addressed by the Contracting Officer.
