- The United States Environmental Protection Agency intends to award a sole source fixed price purchase order for basic year of January 1, 2007 through December 31, to Thermo Electron North America LLC., West Palm Beach, FL for a maintenance agreement renewal for aQa mass spectrometer detector. This procurement involves for follow-on service calls and maintenance of highly specialized equipment. This vendor is also the original source and manufacturer of the subject equipment. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and award with only once source under the authority of FAR 6.302. However, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice is not a requests for competitive quotes, however all quotes received within ten days after the publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses or question regarding this posting must be in writing and can be sent via email to Rogers.Lisa@epa.gov. No phone calls will be accepted. This sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition for commercial items in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.
