- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCADLKE), Lakehurst, NAVAIR METROLOGY and CALIBRATION (METCAL) Program intends to place a sole source IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) contract with King Nutronics Corp, Woodland Hills, CA. for the equipment listed below. NAWCADLKE intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c ) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All items to be purchased represent follow-on contracts for the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program to replace or add additional quantities of calibration standards to its existing inventory. It is the Navy's intent to purchase this equipment to avoid the duplication of logistics support costs which are not expected to be recovered as a result of competition. Current Logistics support includes instrument calibration procedures, QA, bench-test, data elements and training. Any responsible sources may submit comments or proposals, which may or may not be used by the Government in determining whether or not to open this requirement to competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on comments received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Competitive procurements are initiated to replace existing calibration standards when they are no longer procurable, accuracy requirements change, overall modernization is required or new support equipment requirements call for new calibration standards.
