- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a firm fixed price Delivery Order under BOA N00019-05-G-0026, to McDonnell Douglas Corp. (MDC), a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company to procure Ordnance Alteration (ORDALT) kits to modify three systems from the unique United Kingdom Royal Navy configuration to a common universal configuration. The contractor shall provide Program, Engineering and Logistics management to plan, execute, monitor and status the timely accomplishment of this program. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: McDonnell Douglas Corp. (MDC) is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the Harpoon Shipboard Command Launch Control System and the Encapsulated Harpoon Command and Launch System and its related equipment. MDC alone has the experience, special skills, proprietary technical documentation, software/algorithms, facilities and manufacturing techniques required to produce, assemble and integrate this equipment and furnish the supplies and services within the required timeframe. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort mentioned above.
